Ecco CHROME…eh?!
La prima news che leggo appena accendo il pc è:

allora mi sposto su PI per saperne di più:
Google Chrome, il browser di BigG.
Si chiama Google Chrome, e ha visto la luce negli scorsi mesi nei laboratori di Mountain View: come detto, la sua base è il motore WebKit utilizzato anche da Apple, già sfruttato da BigG per il browser di Android. A differenza però di altri prodotti che condividono lo stesso engine, Chrome adotta un principio originale per la gestione della memoria. Ciascuna tab di navigazione risiede in un processo separato e questo, spiegano, garantisce diversi vantaggi: primo su tutti, una occupazione ridotta e più razionale della memoria di sistema.

Qt, appunti di una giornata di compilazione…
La situazione è semplice…progetto per l’esame di Sistemi di Elaborazione: realizzazione dell’interfaccia di un programma per l’acquisizione video nell’ambito della realtà aumentata. Tecnologie: Qt/C++ da integrare con Visual Studio.
Di Qt avevo letto qualcosa sia di tecnico (meccanismo Signal&Slot), sia di etico/filosofico
(inizialmente non era GPL e questo era un male perchè KDE era ed è Qt), però non ci avevo mai programmato… ci smanetto da qualche ora (ho appena finito la compilazione della libreria) ed è veramente una figata.
Ora giusto come promemoria riporto la sequenza di passi da compiere per integrare Qt con Visual Studio:
- Scaricare i sorgenti per Windows da qui.
- Dalla console di VS2005 (Start->Programmi->Microsoft Visual Studio 2005->Visual Studio 2005 Tools->Prompt…), portarsi nella directory dove avete scompattato i src (es. C:\Qt\4.4.0) e lanciare i seguenti comandi:
configure -platform win32-msvc2005
nmake
…e qui c’è da aspettare…parecchio…
- Terminata la compilazione, aggiungete al PATH la directory dove risiede la libreria compilata (es. <dirpath\bin>)… tutto dovrebbe essere pronto per testare le Qt. In una qualsiasi directory contenente i sorgenti Qt/C++, dare i comandi:
qmake -project -t vcapp -o projectname.pro
qmake projectname.pro - Fatto ciò avrete a disposizione un file .vcproj da gestire con VS.

Given n “objects” in n-dimensional space, it is possible to divide each one in half (according to volume) with a single (n − 1)-dimensional hyperplane. Here the “objects” should be sets of finite measure (or, in fact, just of finite outer measure) for the notion of “dividing the volume in half” to make sense.

The ham sandwich theorem takes its name from the case when n = 3 and the three objects of any shape are a chunk of ham and two chunks of bread — notionally, a sandwich — which can then each be bisected with a single cut (i.e., a plane).
